Set of Four Oilers | These flat-tip metal oilers with plastic handles are the standard for watchmaking. The black-handled oiler (the finest) will suffice for 95% of work on contemporary wristwatches. The larger oilers are useful for lubricating mainsprings (two drops from the large green oiler) and applying grease to case backs, stem, etc. These oilers are also sometimes useful as minature screwdrivers for adjusting Triovis regulators and things like that. In any case, you have to have them if you're going to be doing anything with watches.

Bergeon Four-Cup Metal Oil Stand | I think this is a must-have Bergeon item for any watchmaker. The Bergeon (30180-A) stand, die-cast alloy sanded, is nicely weighted, uses four ruby agate oil cups (8 mm well) and even provides a pith wood cup for storing and cleaning the oiler. Use with the standard oilers, FB-903. I wouldn't be without this arrangement.

Bergeon No. 1A Automatic Oiler (Black) | This oiler is designed for anti-shock settings. The very fine needle extends through the pierced jewel and deposits a drop of oil on the surface of the cap jewel. Before using the oiler, clean the tip in pith wood and test the flow on a piece of glass. After oiling, clean the bottom of the pierced jewel carefully with a piece of Rodico, but be careful not to draw all the oil back out of the assembly. I find the 1A the most useful of the automatic oilers and frequently use it.

Bergeon No. 2A Automatic Oiler (Red) | This oiler is designed to be used like a standard oiler (FB-904). The trigger is released, the drop of oil appears at the tip, and the oil is applied to the part. This can be convenient, but it often means adjusting and checking the flow for different applications. I would use the standard oiler (FB-904) instead. I do use the No. 2A for applying PML grease to keyless works parts, as it's a convenience and provides good control.

Bergeon No. 5 Automatic Oiler (Green) | This oiler is designed for the pivots of train wheels. The oiler tip is placed at the junction of pinion and jewel and the trigger is pulled and released. The needle deposits the oil in the space between pinion and jewel. Again, this often requires adjustment and checking of flow for different wheels, and not all wheels in a fine watch use the same oil. I would recommend the standard oiler (FB-904) instead. I do use the No. 5 for applying D-5 to heavier-load pivots.
